A note of warning:
It is a FACT that specifications are misleading and tell you absolutely NOTHING about the sound of an audio component; this is especially true for loudspeakers. For example, we can show you specs for 5 speakers which are identical yet all sound wildly different!Why this is so is because most of the tests we make to produce specifications do not occur in music (square waves, etc.); we do not have enough tests to identify the sound of a component; we do not know which tests relate to the particular sound characteristics of a component. As well, our ears are far more sensitive than any of the tests we throw at components.
Evaluation of a product (especially a loudspeaker) must ultimately done by listening or trusting someone who has had experience with the speaker and whose opinion you value.
If you choose your monitors according to specification, you will likely choose badly. We publish them here for guidance only and under duress because we know everyone will want them!
