Why an Active System?
ACTIVE System Rear SpeakersThe demands on loudspeakers for truly awesone and effortless reproduction of soundtracks and music are large. In our Cinema Active system, we have incorporated the subwoofers into the front Left and Right speakers for a seamless blend of bass and midrange for BOTH music and video.

There are TWO 10" drivers driven by a dedicated 150watt amplifier; each driver is capable of handling 200 watts RMS, giving a total handling capabiltiy of 400 watts RMS! 
Active Center
ACTIVE System - Centre SpeakerMovies are engineered with a LOT of bass being put into the centre speaker; no normal sized centre cinema speaker will be capable of truly reproducing this bass, so our Cinema Active centre speaker incorporates an 8" carbon fibre bass unit driven by its own 150watt amplifier to give truly awesome bass reproduction. 
Equal Voicing
In order to create a TRUE sound field where the 5 speakers cannot be pinpointed, it is absolutely crucial that all five speakers have the same 'sonic signature', or 'voicing'; in the Cinema Active system, all 5 speakers use tailored hard-wired high quality cross-overs driving IDENTICAL drive units:
  • 25 mm treated silk dome
  • ferrofluid tweeter
  • 160mm high power handling bass/midrange driver, in either titanium-coated polypropylene or carbon fibre. 
Two Speaker Choices
Our popular titanium coated polypropylene bass/midrange drivers, as used in the 'T' series of normal Revolution speakers exhibit exceptional clarity, smoothness, with a clean, brightly alive character.

The carbon fibre drivers that make up the CF system can handle 40% more power and exhibit an extremely non-fatigueing sound full of tonal colour and delicacy. 
Music or Video?
As with all Revolution and NotePerfect loudspeakers, they are first and foremost ideal music speakers, so if you are looking for a truly full range set of stereo speakers which are at once easy to drive and can take loads of power, consider the left and right tower speakers of this system on their own.
